The National Training Survey is conducted by the GMC each year, and I have trawled their reporting tool, gathering information on each ophthalmology specialty school.
For 2015-2018 I have taken six useful indicators and given each school a rank and published graphs on each rotation page. Then I have taken the ranks for all six key indicators and created an overall ranking for 2015-2018.
***Note***
The results are by deanery and not by rotation; for
example, we can't know how the amalgamated Severn and Peninsula schools score
individually (or Yorkshire North and South, or Mersey and the rest of North
West, East Midlands North and South).
Remember that the results of the survey can only be as good
as the survey design.
*The six key indicators are my selection:
Overall satisfaction
Adequate experience
Clinical supervision
Work load
Regional teaching
Study leave
