Rotation pattern
1 year in North Wales or Carmarthen
Rest of the time in South Wales

"ST1s can start in either Carmarthen, Newport, Abergele, or Wrexham

Generally, if you start in Carmarthen, you will move eastwards to Bridgend, and then spend ST2-7 in South Wales. You will not rotate to North Wales.

If you start in Newport, you will rotate to Llantrisant, and then do your ST3 in Abergele, North Wales for a year and then spend ST4-7 in South Wales. You will not rotate to Carmarthen.

If you start in Abergele, you will spend only that one year in North Wales but will spend ST2-ST7 in South Wales. You will not rotate to Carmarthen.

If you start in Wrexham, you will spend ST2 in Abergele which is also in North Wales and then spend ST3-ST7 in South Wales. You will not rotate to Carmarthen.

If you are rotating around South Wales hospitals, it is possible to live in Cardiff and commute everywhere."
